On June 13th, 2023 (April 26th, year of the Cat), Junior Thich Tam Hue - Head of Charity Board of Hoang Phap Pagoda, together with monks and Buddhists came to Ho Chi Minh City’s Vietnam Buddhist University in Binh Chanh to offer money and some kinds of items to the Executive Council, Leaders of departments, faculties and 1,104 monks and nuns participated in the 10-day concentrated accumulation Practice.
The retreat is an opportunity for the venerable leaders of the University to live, study, practice and create great resonance while in seclusion and practice.
Having good conditions, the delegation received encouragement to study and serve people for a good life and a beneficial religion conducted by Most Thich Tri Quang, 4th Dharma Lord, Standing Precept Oversight Board, the Demonstration Council of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha. The Venerable Master shared, the Buddha taught, making offerings to the Sangha in the summer is the greatest merit of all the offerings.
Because in the summer season, the Sangha live in an ashram and do not go to the outside, thereby making of enough conditions to study and achieve in the future, benefit the world, the merit is extremely outstanding; many lives of givers will enjoy blessings in the human and heaven realms, as long as the sound of Buddha teachings is still in the world, that day donors will receive blessings.
Currently, at the University, monks are not allowed to leave the ashram for more than 1,000 people in 10 days of concentrated practice of the Executive Council and the Teaching Board, who have been, are and will be teaching the Buddha's teachings everywhere. That is a great merit. With this offering, we ourselves increase our blessings, increase our lifespan, and our nine ancestors also rely on this merit to return to the peaceful realm of the Buddhas, and the parents at present for the same benefit.
After that, the monks of Hoang Phap Pagoda who were studying at the University led the delegation to the main hall and Minh Chau lecture hall to visit and take souvenir photos.
