Donating to Ben Tre Buddhist Intermediate School from NCT Education Talent Monk Fund

Junior Thich Tam Truong, Abbot of Hoang Phap pagoda, and monks came and offered 50,000,000 VND to Bến Tre Buddhist Intermediate School (BIS) from Ngo Chan Tu Education Talent Monk Fund on the morning of Oct. 10th, 2024.

Welcoming the delegation were Senior Thich Xuong Tam - Vice Principal of the Ben Tre BIS and the Monks and Nuns in the School. The School Principal shared with the delegation an overview of the school's activities in recent years. It is known that the Ben Tre BIS was established and opened its first course in 2010 and has had 4 courses so far. Although it was established quite late compared to other Buddhist Schools in the Southwest region, the quality of training through the courses is quite high, when every year the rate of monks passing the entrance exam to the Buddhist University is over 80%.

 

Junior Thich Tam Truong made a speech to offer to the school. On behalf of the school, the Vice Principal kindly and joyfully accepted the donation in the presence of the Board of Directors and more than 50 monks studying at the school. The Senior emphasized that education is considered the most important Buddhist work of the Sangha. To achieve this noble Buddhist work, it is certainly thanks to the material and spiritual support of the Venerable monks and nuns and Buddhist supporters near and far. The Venerable expressed his joy and praise for the merits of Hoang Phap Pagoda.

 

The delegation was warmly welcomed in the spirit of Dharma.
