Commemorating enlightened achievement of Bodhisattva Siddhartha at Bon pagoda, Nghe An

On the evening of Dec. 30th, 2022 (Dec. 8th, LC), at Bon Pagoda in Nghe An (belonging to of Hoang Phap Pagoda ‘s sect) solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate the Bodhisattva Siddhartha's enlightenment with the crowded Buddhists to attend.

More than 25 centuries ago, in India, Bodhisattva Siddhartha, after six years of ascetic practice and 49 day meditation, entered samadhi under the Bodhi tree to penetrate the truth, attain the ultimate fruition, become Buddha Shakyamuni, marking the birth of Buddhism, a religion for peace and happiness for humanity and all sentient beings.

The Buddha became enlightened has great significance, is the day Prince Siddhartha transformed from a worldly person to become a transcendent one, from a normal person to a great enlightened being. Thus, this celebration is an opportunity for Buddhists to remember His career. From that, we look back at ourselves to remind and strengthen our faith in dharma on the path of practice.

The Buddha once said: "All sentient beings have Buddha nature. I am the Buddha who has come to fruition and sentient beings are the Buddha who will become". In that spirit, we must be diligent in studying and practicing according to His teachings that he left behind. If we study and apply the Dharma correctly, we will attain Buddhahood.

The ceremony took place solemnly, respectfully, fulling the deep gratitude of the attendees.
