Buddha’s Birthday Celebration at Hoang Phap Pagoda – Cambodia

On May 20th, 2016 (Apr 4th, 2016 Lunar calendar year), under the agreement of Abbot Senior Ven. on Hoang Phap pagoda as well as the invitation of Reverend Senior Ven. Thich Tam Truc, monks and Buddhists of Hoang Phap pagoda Vietnam went to Cambodia to organize the Celebration of Buddha’s Birthday 2560 – 2516 Buddhism Calendar.
The celebration started with the presence of all the honored ones, Resident Superintendent/Master of Vietnamese pagodas as well as the all of the honored of ones, Buddhist Hoang Phap Vietnam. Additionally, Vietnamese Buddhists living in Cambodia also attend this celebration.
At 8h30, the celebration officially commenced. The monks and the Venerables reached to the celebration stage to start the protocol of offering the incense to pay homage to Buddha. All turned into the reverence under the merciful light of Buddha and appreciated the love of Buddha when He appeared in this world. Next were a lot of balloons were released to the sky and in that mean time, people prayed for a peace and a happiness world.
After stating the reason of the cerebration, Reverend Thich Tam Huy introduced the program and the attendants. On behalf of the organizing board, he continued reading the opening speech. Finally, Monk Thich Tam Tinh expressed the meaning of this important organization.
In the unlimited happiness, Reverend Thich Tam Truc, abbot of Hoang Phap pagoda in Cambodia, chief of the ceremony talked about the life of Buddha. He pointed out the valuable lesson of Buddha life, from the first enlightenment to Nirvana. All the lessons are vivid, they are worthy for Buddhists to follow as a brilliant lighthouse of the enlightenment and deliverance. As Buddhists, we must reply on Buddha. This can help us rapidly reach to the way of deliverance and happiness for ourselves and others.
Ending the ceremony was the rituals of services
In this occasion, the organizer also gave Buddists VCDs: “Eight Worldy Dharmaâ€â€™ “The Truth may Cause Hurtâ€.
