Book donation program for schools in Go Vap, Ho Chi Minh City.

On May 26, 2022 (April 26, LC), the monks of Hoang Phap Pagoda accompanied the Executive Board of Youth Union of Ward 3, Go Vap District to donate books to schools in Go Vap District, HCMC.

Reading helps form good habits in teenagers and young adults; Since, they develop their intellect, improve their knowledge in order to equip themselves with the necessary skills to become a good son and good citizen in life. Reading books helps children to come into contact with words and images, get used to reading quickly, and develop sharp thinking.

The delegation arrived to the following schools in turn:

1. Nhat Quynh Kindergarten (Go Vap, HCMC), gave 351 gifts, including the book Love wins, Nimba leaves, Gratitude lessons and other gifts, and comic books for the school library.

2. Pham Ngu Lao Primary School (Go Vap, Ho Chi Minh City), donated 1097 gifts, including the book Lessons of Gratitude, Lessons of Childhood.

3. Hoa Hong Kindergarten School (Go Vap, Ho Chi Minh City), donated 456 gifts, including Victory books, Nimba Tree Leaves, Gratitude Lessons and other gifts, and comic books for the school library.

4. Tran Van On Primary School (Go Vap, HCMC), donated 1367 books Lessons Childhood.

5. Nguyen Van Troi Secondary School (Go Vap, Ho Chi Minh City), donated 1879 books on Lessons for Youth.

Representatives from the schools showed wishes of health and gratitude to Most of Hoang Phap Pagoda and Monks at the Pagoda for taking great care of children; hopefully, the pagoda will have more programs in the future.

On behalf of Monks also had a few words with the teachers and students. Teenagers are the preschool of the country, so they need to be cared for and nurtured from a young age so that they can develop comprehensively both physically and mentally, especially by reading to improve their intelligence. Therefore, forming a reading culture in children is essential. These are small books written in poetic form with illustrations, helping children easily grasp the content of the book they want to convey. The book helps children be aware of social evils, how to behave properly between relationships: parents, grandparents, teachers, and how to live a beautiful life in the middle of life.
