Assembly for worshiping Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara at Linh An Pagoda

On the occasion of the birthday of Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara, Linh An Temple (Taiwan) held One - Day Retreat to practice according to Her vows on March 27, 2022 (February 25th, LC).

The ceremony is witnessed by Vietnamese monks and nuns who are currently studying in Taiwan, including delegates, Junior Ven. Thich Nhuan Phap, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Hien, Junior Ven. Thich Van Thong, Junior Ven. Thich Duc Tin, Junior Ven. Thich  Hoang Thao, Nun Thich Nu Vien Thanh and many Vietnamese Buddhists who are currently living, working and studying in Taiwan. Especially, there are many foreign students from countries, such as the US, Canada, Thailand and Taiwan who returned to attend.

In the morning, the practitioners gathered at the main hall to chant the Sutra of Lotus Flower, chapter of Universal Door, and then prepare lunch to have together. Before the Q&A session on sharing the Buddhadharma in the afternoon, the audience had moments of mindfulness to sit quietly, and practice compassion. The Buddha Dharma Q&A session took place in a very joyful atmosphere.

Buddhists have questions and concerns that are enthusiastically answered by monks in many aspects, applying the Buddha's teachings to life to help listeners have right views, right thoughts, and get closer to Buddha’s teachings. 

Next, the mass bowed down to 12 Great Vows of Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara and offered candles to her.

Practice of compassion of Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara is to share and sow seeds of love in society, the mass together bought items and food, put up altars to offer for deceased Buddhist spirits, lonely souls, all kinds of sentient beings at night; then, bring the items to distribute to the needy homeless people at Taipei train station 臺北車站.

The Dharma assembly ended successfully to everyone's joy.
