A Meeting To Express Gratitude
In recent years, Buddhist art and culture have flourished and\r\nhave been widely disseminated to many classes of\r\nsociety. The Hoang Phap Pagoda has been one of the successful\r\norganizers of the Buddhist performing arts program, making great contribution to\r\nthe Buddhist art of the country. That success results\r\nfrom the efforts of not only the monks andthe Buddhists but also of the artists\r\nenthusiastic support. This meeting is an opportunity for\r\nthe organizers to express gratitude to the generous\r\nbenefactors, artists ... It is also an opportunity for\r\nthe pagoda to look back on the past development and make contributions for the upcoming program.
\r\n\r\nOpening the meeting, the senior Thich Chan Tinh,\r\nthe abbot, the monks and the artists made an incense offering ceremony in\r\nmemory to the late Venerable Master. After theintroduction\r\nthe Venerable showed his gratitude to all of the artists, the benefactors and the\r\nperforming companies wholeheartedly supported the organizers during the\r\npast few years.
\r\n\r\nOn this occasion, the Venerable gave a brief\r\naccount about the life and career of the Venerable Master\r\nNgo Chan Tu, the founder of the Hoang Phap Pagoda. During his\r\nlifetime,he always focused on helping the poor and the underprivileged\r\nchildren, dissemination of Buddhist sutras, Dharma propagation for sentient beings\r\nbenefits. Today, the monks of the Hoang Phap pagoda followed the\r\ntradition and good career that their Patriarch had\r\nleft.
\r\n\r\nHe had a further remark that the ways of Dharma\r\npropagation today are much different than those of the\r\nprevious decades. It is necessary to take advantage of more waysmeans\r\nof propagation to help people approach Buddhas teachings in\r\nwhich art is considered a good way of preaching. However,\r\nmaking good use of this form of propagationrequires the artists\r\nsupport. In the future, the Hoang Phap Pagoda will certainly continue\r\nto implement more programs in order to devote to religion and the\r\ncountry. Therefore, the pagoda hopes to receive contributions\r\nfrom everyone.
\r\nAfter the gratitude of the Abbot, the artists made\r\nsome comments as well as suggestions for the arts\r\nprogram of the pagoda. All of them wish to organize more\r\nvarious and better programs, causing Buddhist arts and culture to\r\nthrive sustainably
