A Love Trip - Support to overcome the natural disasters in Yen Bai by Hoang Phap pagoda's Charity Board

Responding to the appeal of the Chief Dharma-Lord of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in HCMC on Sep. 16th, 2024 at Vietnam Quoc Tu to support the people in the North due to storm No. 3, the Charity Board of Hoang Phap Pagoda in conjunction with Thanh Loc Than Tam Company had a trip to support the families of victims and damaged houses in Yen Bai province from Oct. 8th to 10t, 2024. Junior Thich Tam Hue - Head of the Charity Board of Hoang Phap Pagoda was the head of the delegation; Junior Thich Tam The, Abbot of Dai Co Viet Pagoda, a branch of Hoang Phap Pagoda along with Buddhists and Donors.

Under the guidance and support of the local authorities, the delegation visited the following locations:

 

On Oct. 8th, 2024, the delegation went to Group 2, Yen Ninh Ward; residential area No. 13, Yen Ninh Ward; Dong Tam Ward, Yen Bai City to present 4 families whose houses collapsed, each with 20 million VND and items, the total support amount was 80,156,000 million VND.

 

On Oct. 9th, 2024, the delegation visited 24 affected households in Yen Binh District, Tran Yen District, Luc Yen District. Each household whose house collapsed and had casualties received 20 million VND and items, and houses with minor collapses received 10 million VND and items. In particular, the delegation provided additional support to the family of Diep - a volunteer police officer in Luc Yen District, Yen Bai Province, whose house collapsed, and a five-member family passed away. Monks and Buddhists came to Mr Diep 's police office to give 20 million VND and items; the total support amount is 393,000,000 VND.

 

On October 10th, 2024, the delegation visited 6 severely damaged households in Dai Dong commune, Yen Binh ward, Minh Tan ward, Yen Bai city with a total support amount of 110,000,000 VND.

 

The charity delegation visited branches of Hoang Phap pagoda (Dai Co Viet pagoda - Yen Bai presided over by Junior Thich Tam The; Dai Son pagoda - Phu Tho presided over by Junior Thich Tam Luat; Luu Ly pagoda - Phu Tho presided over by Junior Thich Tam The) to make offerings and items with a total amount of 40 million VND.

 

The total amount spent on this charity trip to Yen Bai province was 623,156,000 VND (six hundred twenty-three million one hundred fifty-six thousand VND). Of which, Thanh Loc Than Tam Company donated 280,000,000 VND (two hundred eighty million VND).

 

The charity trip was completed thanks to the help and support of monks, members of Thanh Loc Than Tam Comany, Buddhists, Donors and local leaders of Yen Bai province. Deeply grateful for the golden hearts and noble deeds of those who donated to support the delegation to make this meaningful trip.
