A Dharma Talk “Don’t Abandone me, Mum†– A Summer Retreat Course in 2014.

In the morning of the third cultivation day, Senior Ven. Thich Quang Thien, who is the professor of Buddhist Medium and High College in HCMC, lectured a Dharma Speech named “Whoever wasting their lifespanâ€, which refers to some problems in society.

Living in a life full with traps, we will sometimes be\r\nfeeble in mind and easy to lost our life into those traps which is normally called\r\n“The Four Bad Habitsâ€. Hence, we need to have critical wisdom, powerful will\r\nand extraordinary energy in order to get through the difficulties, failure in\r\nwork or affection. Being on the way of life, we, occasionally, have to know how\r\nto accept and forgive the wrongness that are made by others on us. It is\r\nbelieved that a generous heart, a true recognization and a healthy living may\r\navoid our wasting lifetime. Going to the end, the Senior Venerable replied to\r\nparticipants some questions referring to the discussing topic. Additionally,\r\nthere was a talk “Don’t abandon me, Mum!†occurring in the evening of the same\r\nday.

Coming to witness and participate were the presence of\r\nSenior Venerable Ph.D Thich Nhat Tu, Vice Principal of Vietnam Buddhist Institute\r\nin HCMC and two other invited guests: Psychologist Ph.D Nguyen Ngoc Quynh Dao-\r\nMinister of Psychology in Sai Gon University and Doctor Nguyen Thi Phuong Lan -\r\nVice Manager of General Planning Department of hospitals in Cu Chi zone.

Besides, living as a couple without marriage is also\r\nmentioned as the “hot†issue in current society which is creating more and more\r\npitying results; especially abortions from teenagers and young adults. Focusing\r\non that point, professors shared and led participants to recognize the\r\nconsequence and harm, solution and prevention of those pitying case. For two\r\nhours, the guests already answered questions and given realistic information\r\nreferring to the topic issued by organization, including morality, soul,\r\npsychology and health.

Coming to the end, participants raised many questions and\r\nissues of their own needed to be answered by thes Senior Venerable, Ph.D of\r\nPsychology and Doctor. Despite the limited time, it was still enough for\r\nprofessors to supply some useful knowledge and created a new awareness to\r\nparticipants.
