A bronze pouring rite to cast a great bell offering to Cambodia Hoằng Pháp Pagoda by Hoằng Pháp Pagoda Charity Board

On October 21st, 2024, Head of the Charity Board of Hoằng Pháp Pagoda, Junior Thích Tâm Huệ; Junior Thích Tâm Trực, Abbot of Cambodia Hoằng Pháp Pagoda along with monks and Buddhists, came to the Nguyễn Thắng Tín Bronze Casting Facility in Hue City to attend the bronze pouring rite, cast a large bell offering to Cambodia Hoằng Pháp Pagoda

When the temple bell rings, the punishment in the evil realms will temporarily stop, also sinners will temporarily take a break. This Dharma implement has the power to destroy afflictions and rise to Bodhicitta, so the merit of casting the bell is immeasurable.

 

The ceremony was attended by Junior Thich Tam Hue, Junior Thich Tam Truc, monks, Buddhists; the owner of the bronze casting facility and the staff. In a solemn and peaceful atmosphere, Junior Thich Tam Hue offered incense to Buddha and prayed, the monks sprinkled pure water to a new bell, the mass chanted sutras and prayed for the bell casting to be successful and the facility to develop smoothly.

 

Mr. Nguyen Thang Tin, the owner of the bronze casting facility, expressed his deep gratitude to the monks and Buddhists who happily came to witness and pray for the ritual. The monks presented the members of the bronze casting facility Nguyen Thang Tin with the Dharma  books named Practice at home, Retributions of killing creatures, Happiness of cultivation in life, compiled by Most Thich Chan Tinh.

 

The ritual ended in the joy of attendees. On this occasion, the delegation visited Tu Hieu Pagoda and paid homage to the spirit of late Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh.
