Accepted the invitation of the organization, Ven. Thich Dao Quang, a lecturer of the Elementary Buddhist School in HCMC presented at the main lecture hall for giving answers to all the Buddhists.
Question 1:
Dear Venerable,
I am a Buddhist, already took refuge with the Triratna and keep the five Precepts but I didn’t get clear the meaning of them for the best practice, especially the fourth one about not lying. Not lying here including not saying figment, gossipy, nonsense, non-dharma, against the rule, … How to understand these things in the right way? I’m willing to hear the explanation.
Question 2:
Dear Venerable,
As further as I know, giving is one of the noble practice for being happy in mind and liberation that all should do. Sometimes I want to offer Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha but still being confused how to do it in the proper way according to the Buddha teaching. I also want to know what is the good karma of this action, please give me an explanation.
