Finishing the study program, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Huong is appointed by his master to be the Abbot of Tay Ninh branch belonging to Hoang Phap pagoda. Suoi Phap Pagoda was established on Oct. 20th, 2020. This place will be a spiritual house, helping conditions for Buddhists to study and meet their spiritual needs. In the wish to establish a temple in remote areas, we vow to build a statue of Buddha Shakyamuni. The ancients taught:

 “Spending on food and clothing is also gone out;

Offering Three Jewels, blessings will be accumulated."

It is because the merits of making Buddha statues are so great and inconceivable that doers being born anywhere often see the Buddha, hear Dharma, have great blessings and wisdom, attain the six powers, and soon attain Buddhahood.

 Junior Thich Tam Hue, Head of the Charity Department of Hoang Phap Pagoda, has been campaigning for Buddhists to help branches for many years. In order to show gratitude to the Buddhas, Patriarchs and the Master of the temple, on the occasion of this year's rain Retreat, the monk mobilized Buddhists to sculpt a statue of Buddha Shakyamuni to honor at the Main hall of Suoi Phap Pagoda, Tay Ninh:

"Building temples, painting statues, casting bells,

To three virtues, people in everywhere  should joyfully do"

 Awareness of this merit, a Buddhist bought 12m3 of Doussie wood, accompanied by Sculptor Le Van Bao in HCMC to carve the Buddha statue.

Attending the ceremony were the presence Junior Thich Tam Thuc, who is currently studying for a doctorate in Thailand, Junior Thich Tam Huong, Abbot of Suoi Phap Pagoda, Tay Ninh, monks of Hoang Phap Pagoda, sculptor Le Van Bao and the staff of statue carved shop.

 The ceremony began with the rite of lighting incense to the Buddha. After that, Junior Thich Tam Hue, Monks of Hoang Phap Pagoda made a pure sprinkling rite around; the Monks and Buddhists recited Great Compassion mantra, and recited the Buddha name which prayed for the statue to be completed soon.

 This Buddha statue has 4,3 high meters, 4 tons, the material of Doussie wood is seated on a lotus in a majestic and steady meditation posture. The statue is placed in the main hall, as a place of worship, prayer and study for Buddhists and people in the region.

 The estimated time of completion will be in December 2022 with a total budget of 570 million VND. The Buddha statue was donated completely by a Buddhist.

 At the finishing of the rite, Junior Thich Tam Hue expressed his gratitude to monks and Buddhists for chanting, reciting Buddha's name, praying for the statue to be completed soon.

 This occasion, he gave some dharma gifts to Buddhists and local residents, including some books: “Good example in east and west”, “Lessons Learned When Visiting Buddhist Temples”, “Lessons for Teenage."

 The ceremony was complete to the joy of the mass.
