The schedule of releasing creatures in 2023

THE CREATURE RELEASING SCHEDULE OF THE CHARITY BOARD OF HOANG PHAP PAGODA

 (YEAR 2023)

Dear Buddhists!

 Setting sentient beings will help prolong the life of creatures, cultivate compassion, and increase the merits and virtues of oneself and future generations. This action means releasing the defilements in the mind: greed, envy, selfishness, and hatred from the mind and body, which is also a means of cultivation. The practice needs to keep five precepts, including the precept not to kill living beings. If we both keep the precepts but also release living creatures, the blessings will be doubled.

 In 2023, the Charity Board of Hoang Phap Pagoda organized the following releases:

• 1st time: Feb. 20th, 2023 (Feb. 1st of the Cat)
• 2nd time: Mar. 22nd, 2023 (Feb. 1 (Intercalary) of the Cat)
• 3rd time: April 20, 2023 (March 1 of the Cat)
• 4th time: May 19, 2023 (April 1 of the Cat)
• 5th time: June 18, 2023 (May 1st of the Cat)
• 6th time: July 18, 2023 (June 1 of the Cat)
• 7th time: August 16, 2023 (July 1 of the Cat)
• 8th time: September 15, 2023 (Aug. 1 of the Cat)
• 9th time: October 15, 2023 (Sep. 1 of the Cat)
• 10th time: 11/13/2023 (Oct. 1st of the Cat)
• 11th time: December 13, 2023 (Nov. 1 of the Cat)
• 12th time: January 11, 2023 (Dec. 1st of the Cat)
