THE PLAN OF CHARITY AND FREEING CREATURES ON  JANUARY IN 2019

 

 Dear Buddhist good men and believing women!

On January in 2019, the Charity Board of Hoang Phap pagoda will have five trips of charity and freeing creatures as following:

1. On January 6th, 2019 (lunar Dec. 01st, the year of dog)

Giving 250 gift portions to cancer patients attending the One Day Retreat of Hoang Phap Pagoda. Each of them is worth 113,000 VND, including 1 envelope of 100,000 VND, 1 Buddha necklace, 1 chain of beads. Total amount of 250 gift portions costs 28,250,000 VND.

2. On Jan. 13th, 2019 (lunar Dec. 8th, the year of dog)

* Attending the innauguration ceremony at Phuoc Long pagoda, Le Binh ward, Cai Rang district, Can Tho city.

* Giving money from The Ngo Chan Tu talent Sangha Training Fund (50,000,000 VND) to Buddhist Intermediate School at Phuoc Long Pagoda, Le Binh Ward, Cai Rang District, Can Tho.

* Giving money from the Ngo Chan Tu Talent Sangha Training Fund (50,000,000 VND) to the Jointing College  at Long Quang pagoda, Binh Thuy and Can Tho.

3. On January 25th, 2018 (lunar Dec. 20th, the year of Dog)

* Donating 300 gift portions for 300 poor and near poor households, mainly Sieng people at Dang Phap Pagoda located in Village 2, Doan Ket Commune, Bu Dang District, Binh Phuoc Province.

 Each of gift portion is worth 230,000, VND including, 10 kgs of rice, 1 barrel of vegetarian noodles, 1 bottle of cooking oil, 1 bottle of soy sauce, 1 shirt, 1 Buddha necklace, 1 string of beads. The total amount of 300 gift portions at Dang Phap Pagoda is 69,000,000 VND

*Donating 100 gift portions for 100 poor and near poor households, Agent Orange infected victims, the serious ill old, orphans, the disability at the Red Cross of Tan Hung commune, Hon Quang district, Binh Phuoc province (Thanh Hoa pagoda, monk Tam Tho).

The gift is as above. The total amount of 100 gift portions is 23,000,000 VND.

4. Jan. 30^th, 2019 (lunar Dec. 25^th, the year of Dog):

* Donating 300 portions to 300 poor and near poor households, policy families, disability people in Don Thuan commune, Trang Bang district, Tay Ninh province (at Tay Phap pagoda, Monk  Tam Tuong).

 Each of gift is worth 230,000 VND  (as above). The total amount of 300 portions is 69,000,000 VND.

* Finishing to giving gifts, freeing creatures in Tay Ninh

5. February 2nd, 2019 (lunar Dec. 28^th, the year of dog):

* Giving 100 gift portions is 100 poor and near poor households, policy families, disabled people, the lonely old and victims of Agent Orange. Giving gifts was at Hoc Mon District Red Cross, No. 9/ 1A, Le Loi Street, Thong Nhat 1 Hamlet, Tan Thoi Nhi Commune, Hoc Mon District.

Each gift is worth 230,000 VND (as above). The total amount of 100 gift portions is 23,000,000 VND.

* The total amount of charity trips at Hoang Phap pagoda (Hoc Mon), Dang Phap Pagoda (Binh Phuoc) and Tay Phap Pagoda (Tay Ninh) is 212,250,000 VND.

SCHEDULE OF THE TRIP

 * Each Buddhist goes to pay 500,000 VND (200,000 VND of which is for transport fee, 300,000 for donation money and for offering alms). The money for freeing creatures depends on your condition.

* Paying money at Linh Tower of Hoang Phap pagoda for Ms. Hoa Dao, Tel: 0338.197187

* On January 12th, 2019 (lunar Dec. 7th, the year of dog):at 20h p.m, Buddhists gather at the Vom house before Linh Tower of Hoang Phap pagoda, listening to Ven. Thich Tam Hue Chief of the delegation announcing the trip’s schedule.

* At 24 hours: Get on the car to Cai Rang, Can Tho.

- At 4 a.m on Jan. 13th, 2019 to Cai Rang market.

- From 4 a.m to 6 a.m: go to the market to buy fish and free them at Cai Rang floating market

- 6’ 10 a.m: Have breakfast

- 6h 30: Return to Phuoc Long Pagoda

- 7h: Have a speech on offerings to Phuoc Long Pagoda

- 8h: Attend to the inauguration ceremony of the main hall of Phuoc Long pagoda

- 11: 00 noon: Have luncheon at Phuoc Long pagoda

- 12h: Award the Ngo Chan Tu Fund worth VND 50,000,000 at Phuoc Long pagoda, Can Tho

- 12h 30: Award the Ngo Chan Tu Fund worth 50,000,000 VND to the Associate College Class at Phuoc Long pagoda, Can Tho

- Award 15 scholarships to The Fund of Sowing Talent Seeds for 15 students of Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy

 - 13h: Visit Ninh Kieu Wharf, Can Tho, and return to Hoang Phap Pagoda.
