Supporting collapsed house in Khanh Hoa and Phu Yen

 

A 12th storm has caused severe damage of houses, crops in central provinces of Vietnam.  Permitted by Senior Venerable Thich Chan Tinh, the Abbot of Hoang Phap Pagoda, in the morning November 29th , 2017 ( Lunar October 12th - Rooster Year) Junior Ven. Thich Tam Hue, head of Hoang Phap Pagoda ‘s charity board, Junior Ven. Thich Tam An, the Abbot of Hung Phap Pagoda - Dong Nai Province had a charity trip in Khanh Hoa and Phu Yen Province. In the way, the charity group visited Vinh Phap Pagoda, Nha Trang and gave 162,445,000 dong to Junior Ven. Thich Tam Dac in order to rebuild the main hall firmly.  Although the amount is not much, it was hoped that the Junior Ven. would be less worried by the attention of the Senior Abbot of Hoang Phap Pagoda and Buddhists in domestic and foreign countries,  including Buddhists attending One-Day Cultivation at Hoang Phap Pagoda, who supported 102,000,000 dong, Buddhists to the account of Tam Hue Monk 31,300,000 dong and 29,145,000 dong from Buddhists to the office of Hoang Phap Pagoda.

Thanks to the connection of Junior Ven. Thich Tam Hue, the charity group visited Khanh Long temple, Dai Linh Commune, Van Ninh District, Khanh Hoa Province and gave gifts for 34 families with houses collapsed completely, which included 18 families receiving gifts at the pagoda and 16 families directly from the group. Each gifts included: cash of 10,000,000 dong , a Buddha chain and a bead string, books titled  “being still in happiness” , “The Consequence ofKilling Creatures”, “Unexpected Disasters and Blessings” by Senior Abbott Thich Chan Tinh to help victims overcome the consequences after the storm, soon stabilize their life. Here, particularly, Ms. Nguyen Thi Cheo, 70 years old in Trung Dung Commune, Van Binh District, Khanh Hoa Province, was unroofed the house and only left two broken wall. It is known that Ms. Cheo was alone, without any child and grandchildren who take care of her. The group gave cash of 10,000,000 dong and asked local government to buy building materials to rebuild her the house. The total number of houses that were collapsed in Khanh Hoa is 34 houses, the total money of reconstruction is 340,340,000 dong.

Thanks to Mr. Hao Anh’s help, they came to Phu Yen Province and gave money to 7 families with houses collapsed completely. Especially, Ms. Vo Thi Phuong was given 10 million dong to build a house, her two children were in pancreas injury; and they are being treated at the hospital. The group had extra-support of 5 million dong to medical expenses. The total money for house reconstruction at Phu Yen is 50,160,000 dong.  After that, the group visited Canh Long Pagoda, Xuan Canh Commune, Song Cau District, Phu Yen Province and burned incense stick, offered dedicate donation to the Triratna, praying for the pagoda’s soon becoming a spiritual place of cultivation.

 The charity trip, after the storm in Khanh Hoa and Phu Yen, successfully completed in the joy of all and thank to Junior Ven. Thich Tam Minh’s support, The abbot of Buddha Praying Hall in Australia, of 170 million dong, Buddhists attending One-Day Cultivation at Hoang Phap Pagoda contributed 222.185,000 dong. The total number of collapsed houses was supported in Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa is 41 houses with total money of 390,500,000 dong.
