Supporting cancer patients to attend One-Day Practice

On the occasion of One - Day Practice on Oct. 02nd, 2022 at Hoang Phap pagoda, monks and Oncology Club assisted 40 patients of Cancer Hospital gathering at the pagoda to attend the One-Day Practice.

After the breakfast, all the practitioners gathered at the lecture hall to watch a video by Most Master Thich Chan of Hoang Phap Pagoda introducing the landscape of the new land. This is the place of retreat for the Master after assigning the pagoda 's Abbot to his disciple.

Next, the mass listened to a Dharma talk with the topic "Worrying", preached by Junior Thich Dao Quang, the Lecturer at Buddhism elementary schools in and out of the city. We should live together with love, live our responsibilities to reduce worries and be peaceful; come and go happily.

After the Buddha recitation ended in the afternoon, all Buddhists practiced sitting meditation together.

 Before leaving the pagoda, Junior Thich Tam Hue gave 40 gift potions to patients. Each gift includes an envelope of 100,000 VND supported by Ms. Nguyen Thi Yen in Can Tho.

 He praised the patients' difficult overcoming, although the body was sick but the mind was not, returned to the pagoda to cultivate. He advised patients to take refuge in Three Jewels, diligently recite Buddha's name, study and practice Buddha's teachings, then we will have a peaceful and happy life.

The gift is small, but all patients felt gratitude for givers, because there are still many people helping to share, love and motivate them overcoming the disease.
