Supporting cancer patients to attend One-Day Practice

On the occasion of One - Day Practice on Aug. 28th, 2022 at Hoang Phap pagoda, monks and Oncology Club assisted 35 patients of Cancer Hospital gathering at the pagoda to attend the Retreat. This time, the Organizers continued to implement the 72nd Dharma Light program.

After the breakfast, all practitioners gathered at the dome house to begin reciting Buddha's name, walking meditation and chanting precepts.

In response to the invitation of the retreat, Senior Thich Phap Dang, Abbot of Hue Vien pagoda, answered questions sent by Buddhists. 

After the Buddha recitation ended in the afternoon, all Buddhists practiced sitting meditation together. 

Before leaving, Junior Thich Tam Hue gave gifts to patients. Each gift includes an envelope of 400,000 VND and 1 box of vegetarian noodles, 5 kg of rice, supported by Phuong Ngoc group and Ut Sanh group in Binh Duong. The total of this support is 19,200,000 VND.

 He praised the patients' difficult overcoming, although the body was sick but the mind was not, returned to the pagoda to cultivate. He advised patients to take refuge in Three Jewels, diligently recite Buddha's name, study and practice Buddha's teachings, then we will have a peaceful and happy life.

The gift is small, but all patients felt gratitude for givers, because there are still many people helping to share, love and motivate them overcoming the disease.
