On the occasion of One - Day Practice on April 03rd, 2022 at Hoang Phap pagoda, monks and Oncology Club assisted 43 patients at Cancer Hospital gathering at the pagoda to attend the Retreat.

After  the breakfast, all practitioners gathered at the spirit stupa to begin reciting Buddha's name, walking meditation and chanting precepts. Next, the audience listened to a dharma talk Junior Thich Tam Hanh with the topic named The rich are also crying.

In the afternoon, the mass had time to chant the sutra, recite Buddha's name and sit quietly together.

On behalf of Most Abbot and monks of Hoang Phap Pagoda, Ven Thich Tam Hue praised the spirit of overcoming difficulties of Cancer patients, although the body was sick but the mind was not sick, returned to Hoang Phap pagoda to attend the Retreat. Sickness is caused by karma from previous lives, today one must pay its results; Therefore, ones do not complain about heaven and earth, should practice diligently in mindfulness, "need practice like a fire on head", because "human life is only in breathing", breathing out without inhaling is a ended lifetime. Let’s save yourself.

Before leaving the pagoda, Junior gave 43 gift portions to cancer patients. Each gift is an envelope of 260,000 VND. The total of this gift is 11,180,000 VND, in which the Charity Board of Hoang Phap Pagoda supports VND 4,300,000, Oncology Club suppored 6,800,000 VND .

The gift is small, but all patients felt gratitude for the senders, because there are still many people helping to share, love and motivate them overcoming the disease.

By the way, Ven Thich Tam Hue gave Dharma gifts to members of the Oncology Club, including the book Milk dharma in the morning, sent to patients including the books Good examples in the East and West, Offerings and blessing, Lessons for Buddhists.
