Releasing Living Creatures at the Beginning of the Year

On Feb. 11th, 2017 (Jan. 15 Rooster Year) after great ceremony of praying for peacefulness in the beginning of the year, Monks and Buddhists of Hoang Phap temple had a releasing living creature trip at Dong Nai and Cu Chi.

On Dong Nai river, after a time of refuging animals to pray for their being reborn in the Pure Land, praying for ancestors, the country and citizens, 2.5 tons of snakehead fishes were releasted into the nature.

Late 7 p.m. back to Cu Chi, the group kept going on freeing living creature more than 2.3 tons of snakehead fishes. Still 9 p.m. they emptied all in the joy of everyone because they had lived a very perfect day of meaningful, good religious ideality.

During the releasing living creature, Buddhists were donated a book of “Consequence of killing”, string of beads and Buddha’s necklaces.

At the same time, the Venerables also reminded that they should open their compassion to help people, save animals, be vegetarian, do right career useful to society, do not kill animals to avoid retribution of after life.

The total of releasing living creature in the full moon is 161,600,000d (4.860kg) from internal and external Buddhists.
