One-day reciting the Buddha's name and creatures freeing in Can Tho

On June 23rd, 2019 (lunar May 21st, the year of the Pig), Junior Ven. Thich Tam Hue, monks and Buddhists at Hoang Phap Pagoda came the Minh Chat retreat in Can Tho to organize reciting the Buddha's name of the fourth time.

Participating in the retreat were Buddhists in Can Tho and Hau Giang.

In the morning, the monk instructed Buddhists about the postures' rules, joining hands, greetings, prostrating, how to walk to recite the Buddha's name, raise bowl of offerings.

After that, the mass began into the dharma talk. Junior Ven. Thich Tam Khiet shared about Meaning of Freeing animals. After the dharma talk, the monks and the Buddhists offered the meals in the afternoon and having meal.

In the afternoon, monk instructed to practice reciting Buddha's name, sitting meditation and chanting precepts to Buddhists.

At the end of the retreat, the group visited Hai Muoi market in Can Tho to buy some fish. Monk and Buddhists recited together the Buddha's name and freed animals on Hau River.
