Offering Two Summer Retreat Schools in Dong Nai – 2017

 

In joyful encouragement of Junior Venerable Thich Chan Tinh – the Abbot of Hoang Phap Monastery, morning June 28th, 2017 (lunar May – Rooster Year), Reverend Thich Tam Hue and Buddhists made an offering trip to two Intermediate Schools of Buddhism in Dong Nai Province on the occasion of Summer Retreat Schools in Dong Nai – 2017 on purpose of inspiring monks and nuns to study hard and cultivate themselves, unfailingly improve their power of disciplines and work on The Three Studies.

 The first destination was Intermediate School of Buddhism where Phat Hien Pagoda’s monks are living. The charity corps inspired the monks dwelling and studying here by offering such purified things as cash of 11,250,000 VND, 40 boxes of noodle, 5.7 tons of pumpkin, soy sauce, 720 boxes of Dipolac medicine and some Scripture books like ‘Thien Mon Bao Giam’ (170 books), ‘Luong Hoang Sam’ copies, ‘Vu Lan’ copies, etc. in order to serve the study there.

 

The next destination was Intermediate School of Buddhism of Hue Giac Pagoda’s nuns. The charity corps made an offering of some purified things like 11,250,000 VND cash, 40 boxes of noodles, 1.3 tons of pumpkin, cooking oil, soy sauce, 720 boxes of Dipolac medicine and several Scripture books such as ‘Thien Mon Bao Giam’ (180 books), ‘Luong Hoang Sam’ and ‘Vu Lan’ copies.

 

Having made these offerings, Reverend Thich Tam Hue on behalf of the corps expressed great thanks to the monks and nuns at the schools for their facilitating the home Buddhists’ showing their respect to the respectable monks and nuns on the occasion of Hermitage Season in Year of the Rooster. Simultaneously, the respectable monks offered some prayers towards the Buddhists, wishfully diverting this merit to nine generations of their dead ancestors in order that they could soon be born into a peaceful land as well as that their parents would live longer and have satisfying wishes.

 

At the end of the trip, the Reverend showed his gratitude to all the Buddhists for their voluntary donations and offerings that helped the trip to the schools in Dong Nai Province to become satisfactorily successful. Partaking in this trip, Mr. Liem gave a support of transportation including 2 seven-seat cars while Mr. Viet and Mr. Quy provided a truck to transport the whole corps and offering items.
