Offering to Hue Truong Precept Altar in Can Tho

In joyful permission by Junior Ven. Thich Tam Truong, the Abbot of Hoang Phap pagoda, monks and Buddhists held an offering trip to Hue Truong precept Altar on July 21st, 2022 is organized by Elderly Nun Thich Nu Nhu Tam, Abbot of Phuoc Long Monastery.

Opening ceremony was at 7:30 am; Hue Truong Precept Altar at Truc Lam Phuong Nam Monastery was attended by over 300 precept receivers on July 22nd -24th, 2022. Transmitting precepts to monks was at Truc Lam Phuong Nam Monastery. Transmitting precepts to nuns at Phuoc Long Pagoda (Can Tho).

Late Most Thich Hue Truong, Member of Vietnamese Buddhist Sangha Council, Former Head of the Buddhist Sangha Committee of Can Tho City, Former Principal of Buddhist Intermediate School of Can Tho City, Abbot of Pho Quang Pagoda. During his lifetime, Late Head Most Thich Hue Truong made many contributions to the Religion and the Nation from the Buddhist affairs to the Sangha Association, as training monks and nuns, a witness master, a teacher, the Leader monk of all the precept altars. His service mind was always filled with enthusiasm.

Hue Truong Precept Altar is for the purpose of letting the disciples rely on the grace of past venerables and follow the conduct of them to practice. The transmission of precepts are to preserve and develop teachings of the Buddha, cultivate ethics to step on the path of deliverance.

The delegation dignified their bodies and minds with respect and made their offering of pure money and items to the altar. Nun Thich Nu Nhu Tam received the offering and gave her teachings to Buddhists in the group so that they could take it as their luggage on the path of Buddhist study.

The nun praised the spirit of Three Jewel protecting, showing gratitude to Buddhists, and sent her wishes to all families with immeasurable merit and blessing.
