Giving lunch portions at Hoc Mon Wholesale Market and The rite praying for rebirth in Tay Ninh

Junior Ven. Thich Tam Hue and Buddhists of Hoang Phap pagoda went to the Hoc Mon wholesale market of agricultural products to give lunch portions to the porters and the vendors at the market on Sep. 20th, 2019 (Aug. 04th, Year of Mouse).

At 10am, the group departed from Hoang Phap Pagoda to arrive at the market at a crowded time. On the occasion of One-day Practice, the pagoda made extra lunch boxes to send to the porters and sellers at the market to help them become vegetarian and sow seeds in the Three Jewels. Thanks to the enthusiastic help of the director board and sales shops, the giving of vegan meals is convenient and joyful.

Next, the delegation came to chant sutra and pray rebirth for the spirit Tran Thi Mai (religious name Anh Ngoc) in Tay Ninh from the invitation of the family. Mrs. Tran Thi Mai is a devoted Buddhist who has attended the seven-day retreat at Hoang Phap pagoda since 2008 and has received a Certificate from Senior Thich Chan Tinh, Abbot of Hoang Phap Pagoda.

During the time when she was sick of old age and passed away, her family invited monks to come and pray rebirth for her. The delegation sincerely chanted Ksihitigarbha sutras, recited the Buddha's sutra, and vowed to bring merit to return the spirit of early being born to the peaceful realm of Amitabha Buddha. The family representative sincerely expressed the gratitude to the delegation.

On this occasion, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Hue sent gifts of the dharma, including "Retribution for killing creatures", “A brief Introduction of Hoang Phap monastery”, “Lessons for Kids” and many other gifts.
