Freeing of creatures at Ca Lang ferry in Cu Chi

On April 11th, 2020 (March 11th, LC), Junior Thich Tam Hue, Buddhists of Hoang Phap Pagoda, and NYN Service Trading Co., Ltd, (Director Nguyen Thuy Y Ngan) had a trip to release creatures at Ca Lang ferry in Cu Chi.

Creature liberation is a beauty in Vietnamese culture in general and Buddhism in particular. Freeing living beings means that we give animals to be free. Moreover, liberating living beings helps to release the mind of greed, envy and hatred out of our being so that our mind can be at peace. The meaning of liberating is to sow good causes, resolve enmity, save a future Buddha, respect the right to life of all sentient beings who have been our relatives from many previous lives. Therefore, liberating sentient beings is also rescuing our parents and brothers in our previous lives.

This valuable doing has three useful things:

- Giving material: giving money to save animal's lives 

- Giving dharma: in the rite of freeing creatures will take refuge in Three Jewel, recite the Buddha's name then dedicate merit to all beings.

- Giving fearlessness: escaping from fear to animals caused by the act of killing them.

In that spirit, NYN Trading Service Company Limited bought creatures to save lives. Freeing living beings is an act of showing compassion and wishing to bring peace and happiness to all sentient beings.

The delegation bought catfish and transported them to Ca Lang ferry to free them into nature. The delegation took refuge, recited the Buddha's name and performed the ritual of releasing beings.

Junior Ven. Thich Tam Hue gave gifts of Dharma, including: Comic book named Retribution for killing and releasing living beings to everyone in the group.
