Flood relief trip in Central Vietnam

In the spirit of compassion of the Buddhist disciples, Hoang Phap Pagoda launched a charity program to support people in the central flood provinces. With enough good conditions, Monks and charitable groups of Hoang Phap pagoda have come to Quang Binh and Quang Tri to give gifts to people in affected areas.

The charity supported sequence the following locations:

1. Ham Ninh Primary School, Quang Binh: support with the amount of 37,500,000 VND to repair the swimming pool, give 1,500 notebooks, 60 life jackets, 8 boxes of cookies, 2 boxes of candy, 6 water containers and 100 books named Lessons for Kids. The total amount is 59,980,000 VND.

2. Ham Ninh Commune, Quang Binh: Give 340 gifts (700,000 VND/ portion) to households with property damage and support 10 households with the most severe and extremely difficult losses, with the amount of 27,000,000 VND. The total amount is 265,000,000 VND.

3. Duy Ninh commune, Quang Binh: Give 340 gifts (700,000 VND/ piece) to households with property damage and support 10 households with the most severe and extremely difficult losses, the amount of 38,300,000 VND. The total amount is 276,300,000 VND.

4. Xuan Ninh Primary School, Quang Ninh: support with the amount of 17,500,000 VND to repair learning equipment, give 1,500 notebooks, 60 life jackets, 7 boxes of biscuits, 3 boxes of candy, 6 water containers, 100 Book named Lessons for Kids. The total amount is 39,980,000 VND.

5. Trieu Phong district, Quang Tri: support 300 gifts (700,000 VND/ piece) to the blind in 18 communes in the region, support 10 households with the most severe and extremely difficult losses, the amount of 27,500,000 VND. The total amount is 230,500,000 VND.

The total amount for this Central relief trip is VND 871,760,000.

On this occasion, the delegation visited the homes of Ms. Nguyen Tam, Quang Trung, Dong Thoi and Ms. Quang Luong, Dong Hai, Dong Thoi to chant prayers for peace.

For this charity trip, the group was supported with meals by Sen Chay restaurant (91 Le Ngoc Han, Dong Hoi) and Buddhists.
