Day of practice, repentance and gratitude to Buddhists at Minh Chat ashram, Can Tho.

Junior Thich Tam Hue, monk and Buddhists of Hoang Phap pagoda went to Minh Chat ashram, Can Tho to guide the One Day Retreat, hold a gratitude ceremony and monthly repentance on Jan. 10th, 2020.

Minh Chat house was founded from 1981 up to now 39 years by Buddhist Minh Chat and Ms. Dieu Nguyet. The religious activities are evening chanting more than 20 people, repenting twice a month with 50 people. Every month, there is a One day Retreat for 70 to 80 followers to attend.

In 2007, Buddhist Dieu Nguyet remained her family so that Buddhist Minh Chat was ordained at Hoang Phap pagoda with dharma name Thich Tam Hue, the ashram was continued and developed by devout Buddhists. Here, daily prayers and chanting have awakened the inner goodness of everyone around. That is the reason for Junior Thich Tam Hue held a ceremony of gratitude to Buddhists during this practice day.

After that, the mass listened to a dharma talk from Junior Thich Tam Man with the topic Cultivation To Achieve Peace and Deliverance. He analyzed clearly to rely on the Three Jewels of Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, practitioners need to maintain the Three refuge and Five precepts, deeply believe in cause and effect, contemplate impermanence, live according to conditions, calm between praise and damn. It is important to look at us, transforming greed, hatred, and delusion towards a peaceful and happy life.

In the afternoon, it is the time of reciting Buddha's name, sitting tranquility, chanting precepts and performing the rite release creatures.

In the evening, the gratitude ceremony took place in a solemn and serene atmosphere with love of spirituality. All participants are allowed to speak their thoughts and aspirations in the ashram’s development in the future, bringing the light of the Dharma to sentient beings. This is a humanitarian rite that needs to be replicated for everyone to know and participate.

At the end of the rite, the mass received a small dharma gift from the Senior Ven of Hoang Phap Pagoda, including the books named Ten Great Disciples of the Buddha, The Lessons of Youth, a calendar and other gifts.
