Charity trip to An Son Pagoda, Quang Ngai

On Sep. 02nd - 03rd, 2022 (August 07th – 08th, LC), on occasion to Quang Ngai, Phu Yen, Nha Trang (five days and nights), Junior Thich Tam Hue and 45 Buddhists at Hoang Phap pagoda had a charity trip to An Son pagoda (Quang Ngai) to chant prayers for peace, and attended the Abbot Appointment ceremony, then gave gifts to 200 poor household.

An Son pagoda has been a small temple since 1967; in need of study and the permission of local government, Buddhists contributed to the restoration and established the temple support Board to study in 1988; In 2019, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Khuyen received management to this day. An Son temple gradually becomes an old temple for Buddhists everywhere to practice in order to find happiness, peace and contribute to spreading teachings and uphold the Dharma.

Buddhists’ representatives in the delegation had a speech to make offerings. Then, Junior Thich Tam Hue instructed to donate money and items to Three Jewels.

 The group read 13 chapters of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva's sutra, recited Buddha's name and performed the ritual of almsgiving for souls, praying dedication of merit to donors and supported Buddhists; Praying for the deceased benefactors of An Son Pagoda and their ancestors to soon be born to Ultimate Bliss.

Accordingly, the delegation granted 200 gifts to poor households in Duc Pho village, Quang Ngai. Each gift costs 270,000 VND, including: envelopes of 250,000 VND, moon cakes and other gifts. The total of charity this time is 54,000,000 VND. This occasion, the monks also gave each family a gift of Dharma, including:  Lessons Learned When Visiting Buddhist Temples, Lessons for teenagers, Ullambana Sutra...
