Burial in water and freeing creatures at Binh My ferry, Cu Chi

Response to the invitation from the family of the Nguyen Thi Ho soul, Jan. 22nd, 2019 (lunar Dec.17th, the year of dog), from Hoang Phap Pagoda Venerable Thich Tam Hue and Buddhists came to pagoda’s cemetery praying for the rebirth to five souls were buried this place following their wish before dying, such as:

The soul of Do Thi Dum, passed away on Oct. 13th, 1954, life expectancy 88 years;

 The soul of Nguyen Thi Ho, died on Jan. 2nd,1978, aged 78.

The soul of Do Van Thanh, died on July. 28th,1958, aged 68.

The soul of Nguyen Thi Vien, died on Feb. 18th, 1958, aged 67.

The soul of Nguyen Ninh Hieu, died on Apr. 4th, 1966, aged 13.

 

On the way to the ceremony of water burying, the group purchased 700 kg of catfish, snakehead fish valued at VND 22,200,000 to free them into nature.

The water burying ceremony - the freeing of creatures took place very formally and solemnly at Binh My ferry with recitation supporting of Venerable Thich Tam Hue, Hoang Phap Pagoda's  Buddhists and their relatives.

We are grateful to the donators, Ms. Phuong in U.S, Ms. Ngan at Trang Nguyen Company, the family of soul Nguyen Thi Ho, the Buddhists inside and outside the country, the group’s Buddhists contributed together for money and goods to the trip was perfect success.
