Animal releasing in Can Tho City

In the “Pham Vong” sutra of BodhiSattva precepts, the Buddha taught that Buddhists should often release and advice doing their actions, because of four competences as land, water, wind, fire that are the basic materials of our body. Therefore, Buddhists should release animals due to compassion mind and have a feeling that all men are like our fathers, all women are like our mothers for many previous incarnation of us, where for we are always born from.

Practicing the Buddha’s teaching, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Hue, the monks and Buddhists of Hoang Phap pagoda had an  animal releasing trip on Oct. 8th, 2017 (lunar August 19th, Rooster Year) in Can Tho City. The group bought 4, 4 tons of catfish. All of them were released to the nature after being taken Triratna refuge and recited the Buddha’s name. This action prayed them for their escaping from the situations of being cut, chopped, grilled, trapped, etc. Their next livings would become human beings, meet right dharma and get peace and enlightenment. The money of 78 million dong was donated by Mr. Viet in Thu Duc, Ms. Kieu’s Bookstore, Ms. Tiep, Minh That’s retreat mandala, Ms. Hien, Huong, Lan and domestic and oversea Buddhists, who helped support the releasing trip successfully. All members were delighted when they were watching all swimming in the river.
