A tour to Vietnam Buddhist University

 

 

The University has 800 monks and nuns who are currently abbot of temples and monasteries from all over the country to study including 500 nuns. These are the core members of Vietnamese Buddhism. The study period was very diligent, during the three months of retreat, there were Most and Senior Ven. directly teaching.
This trip, the delegation went to Binh Tien 2, Duc Hoa Ha, Long An to pray rebirth for spirit Tran Thi Nhan (Dharma name Tuong Thu).

Ms. Tran Thi Nhan suffered from a serious illness and passed away on July 14th, 2020 (lunar May 24, LC), at the age of 84 years old.

Junior Ven. Thich Tam Hue, Buddhists and relatives in the family chanted mantras, recited Buddha’s name, and vowed to transfer this merit to the spirit being born early to the peaceful realm of Amitabha Buddha.
During the rite, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Hue praised the spirit of gratitude and repayment of family. The monk instructed all members in 49 days should do merit such as making offerings to the Three Jewels, making offerings to monks, printing of sutra, releasing creatures, reciting Buddha's name, repenting evils, helping the poor ... to dedicate the merit for her soul. At the same time, family’s siblings should unite to love and help each other; guide their loved ones back to rely on the Three Jewels.

This occasion, he gave dharma gifts including the books of A brief Introduction of Hoang Phap monastery, Lesson for Kids and many other gifts.
