The 4th Day of Temporary Ordination for children

After breakfast on July 29th, 2020 was the 4th day at the retreat, Senior Ven. Thich Chan Tinh, Abbot of Hoang Phap Pagoda, told the children about 10 great disciples of the Budddha. Thanks to this, all participants knew and remembered the name, as well as the outstanding merit of 10 great disciples.
The organizers conducted the talk show: The Path I Go to exchange with the mass. In conversation with the children was Junior Ven. Thich Tam Do, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Trinh, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Khuyen were the guests who shared about predestined conditions and the method of Buddhist cultivation. The Monks answered questions about the vegetarian practice at home, the psychology of cooking, nutrition and substituting food, the vegetarian purpose ... Next, the little kids spoke up how they felt when they joined the retreat, about the monastic life, as well as expressed gratitude to the Monks and the essential support for organizing this retreat. Finally, the Monk had a few words to transfer to all young kids: Be obedient, filial to their father and mother, always do well, avoid evil, and learn good things to have peace in life.
In the afternoon, all kids listened to stories from Junior Ven. Thich Tam Duyet with the theme Meaningful Stories. To five stories from the Monk, the young listeners drew their own thoughts. Each story conveys a different message about moral values, human values. It is a lesson in faith, do not give up halfway; listen to the sincere and right advice from good friends; Don't rush to trust others blindly; love our brothers in the house, and don't let outsiders take advantage and harm us, also, we must know our ability to strive and not to blame for our situation.
In the evening, the attendees listened to the confidences from Junior Ven. Thich Tam Hanh with the theme Causes and Effects of Blessing and Guilt. By telling touching stories about the great sacrifices of parents, the Monk hoped the children would look back on their actions. These mistakes not only do not repay the parents' merit, but also injury to our two procreators. The Monk wished all attendees to try to promote their abilities to be able to take care of the parents, to be a good person, and to benefit the society. That is when we sow good seeds, we will reap good rewards for life and the future.
