The 1st Nikāya Retreat

Before the time of cultivation, Senior Ven. Thich Chan Tinh, Abbot of Hoang Phap Pagoda had a few words for the mass. Previously, the Senior Ven. had a period entering the pure retreat to read the Tripitaka Nikaya, so, he hopefully propagated the Dharma and brought the Buddha's teachings to everyone. It is known, Junior Ven. Thich Minh Thanh intends to expand the Nikaya retreat, Senior Ven. Thich Chan Tinh lent the facility organizing the retreat. In the future, if there is any ashram that needs a place to organize, he will be ready to support the organization at the pagoda. For sutra studying, we need to learn and understand the scriptures thoroughly, so that there is no discrimination between the sects.

In orderly, participants practiced Zen methods, such as: paying homage to the Three Jewels, listening to rules, encouraging cultivation, as well as walking meditation and goodness mind meditation, ...Then, the mass listened to the Dharma talk from Junior Ven. Thich Minh Thanh preached about greed, hatred and delusion as the root of all sins. The main point of the Buddha's teaching is to identify the body and mind in order to find the origin, control and end of suffering. He instructed the three dharma of practices in returning to feel oneself, breath, and the whole body.

After  the peaceful meditation time in the afternoon, Junior Ven. Thich Minh Thanh guided the practice and had standards of conduct to the cultivators who should train a "sense of goodness". These are a relaxed face, a peaceful smile, a radiant mind, as well as control of body, speech, and mind always thinking of the feeling of peace and calm in daily life, because the cultivators must be really very cute.

Before leaving, Buddhists were given the book of dharma: Jackal and  lion.
