After breakfast, the monks led the students to the main\r\nlecture hall to welcome Junior Ven. Thich Dong Thanh, lecturer and headmaster\r\nof Intermediate level School of Buddhism of Binh Dinh province. In his talk on “How\r\nto build happiness for the mass”, the Junior Ven. shared some necessary\r\nknowledge on Buddhist Dharma with the audience  -  how to build a\r\npeaceful and happiness life for oneself and from which create peace and\r\ncontentment for a society. As such, according to the speaker, each of us should\r\nnurture our merciful heart, tolerance, knowing how to love others and share\r\nweal and woe among human beings. In addition, we should be in everybody’s\r\nservice, have wishes to embellish our life and bring benefits to others.

\r\n\r\n

In order to materialise those life’s ambitions, and those\r\ngoals as well, we should first and foremost select an appropriate career for\r\nourselves, which is suitable to the spirit of Buddhist Noble Eightfold\r\nPath  (the path leading to the release from sufferings)  -  a\r\ncareer which does not cause any harm to others. Whenever doing something, we\r\nshould do it with sincerity, love and compassion, concessions, modesty, and\r\nnon-arrogance. By doing so, we can surely get a more and more godsend. And only\r\nwhen we have selected an appropriate career, can we sublimate our life.

\r\n\r\n

After the talk, the mass together read the sutra named ‘Living\r\nin good’ (by District Education La Viet). At 11 o’clock sharp the students\r\ngathered in the dining-room for their lunch. In the afternoon of the same day,\r\nthe students gathered in the main auditorium to practise Zen sitting. Next was\r\nthe idea exchange session by Ph.D. Nguyen Ngoc Quynh Dao, Head of Psychology\r\nsection of Saigon University, a psychology specialist with 20 years of experience\r\nin teaching activities and in training skills to home and foreign industrial\r\ngroups.

\r\n\r\n

During her speech, Ph.D. Quynh Dao helped the students\r\nmaster the necessary knowledges of how to get an appropriate career. The\r\nmatters she put forth were really practical and  based on her really own\r\nexperience as well on the cases she had experienced. Those seem to be so\r\nnormal  -  things such as interviewee‘s smiles, glints, clothes,\r\nindividual postures and how to fill in a CV (curriculum vitae) or partly extracts,\r\nall were directed whole-heartedly and considerably. These are very necessary\r\nand highly valuable knowledges for students aiming at creating in them more\r\nself-confidence in looking for work after graduation.
