In the afternoon, he explained the meaning of\r\nTriratna Refuge, reviewed the Buddhism fundamentals as well as Buddhists’ duty.\r\nIn the Q&A session, the Venerable answered all the concerns and queries from\r\nBuddhists of Buddhism practicing.

\r\n\r\n

In the evening Dharma talk, Ven. Thich Chan Tinh\r\nshared that: “in daily life, we should carry out things with clear purpose(s)\r\nwhich we need to skillfully try our best to achieve via means. Similarly, the\r\nBuddhist devotees should have short/long term targets for their practice. For\r\nexample: one should practice the Ten Wholesomeness for the rebirth in God\r\nrealm, Five Precepts for human rebirth … For being born spontaneously in\r\nAmitabha Buddha’s Land, one should recite his name at least ten times and cultivate\r\nthe tri-merits including:

\r\n\r\n

* Fulfillment of filial duty to parents, teachers\r\nand compassion for sentient beings (non-killing).

\r\n\r\n

* Take the Triratna Refuge and fulfill the Five\r\nPrecepts without any infringement.

\r\n\r\n

* Awake the aspiration of enlightenment, deeply\r\nbelieve in and be aligned with cause and effect rule, encourage others’\r\ndiligent practicing.

\r\n\r\n

While cultivating the tri-merits, the Buddhist\r\ndevotees have performed the slogan” good for both secular and religious life”.\r\nThanks to committed practicing and sowing good merits that the practitioners\r\nwill be able to get rid of obstruction/bad karma on their way to the Buddha\r\nLand, also the way to the Path”.

\r\n\r\n
At the end of the Retreat, Ven. Thich Chan Tinh sent\r\nhis thanks and regards to the abbess and Tam Quang sangha for their kind facilitation\r\nso that the delegation can fulfill the Dharma preaching in joy and ease. The Venerable\r\npresented DVD film "Searching for the Enlightenment" as the Dharma\r\ngift to the participants.
