Supporting patients of tumour hospital to attend the Three Jewel refuge ceremony

On occasion of the third refuge rite in the Three Jewels on Nov. 22nd, 2020 at Hoang Phap pagoda, 23 tumour patients attended the ceremony thanks to support by the pagoda charity group and the volunteer group "Tu Tai".

After having breakfast, the Buddhists went to the lecture halls to learn together, such as clasping hands, bowing, prostrating ... After that, Junior Thich Tam Thu explained the purpose and meaning of Three Precepts of Five Precepts.

In the afternoon, the ceremony took place under the witness of the monks at the paoda. On behalf of the monks present, Senior Ven. Thich Chan Tinh transmitted Three Precepts of Five Precepts to all disciples.

Taking refuge in the Three Jewels is towards a peaceful and noble life by practicing the Buddha's teachings. The five precepts, the five basic moral principles will help us to perfect ourselves and bring our life to noble purity.

Junior Ven. Thich Tam Hue and the volunteer group "Tu Tai" gave gifts to the patients who attended the ceremony before leaving. Each gift is worth 300,000 VND, including a dharma audio radio, candy and certificate of refuge in Three Jewels, and books, such as “60-year essential memories Senior Thich Chan Tinh”, Brief Introductions of Hoang Phap monastery, Buddha Dharma Saving my destiny, Taking Three Refuge and Five Precepts. The total amount is 6,900,000 VND.

Small gifts help motivate sick people to overcome their illnesses and feel the love of sharing and love.
