One-day reciting the Buddha's names, releasing creatures and burying in water in Can Tho

April 14th, 2019 (lunar Mar. 10th, the year of the pig), Junior Ven. Thich Tam Hue, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Chieu, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Thu and the Buddhists of Hoang Phap Pagoda went to Minh Chat's retreat in Can Tho, held the retreat of reciting the Buddha name of the 2nd time.

Opening day of cultivating, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Chieu instructed Buddhists in the manners of prostrating, greetings, offerings in the meal, and meditation walking reciting Buddha's name.

After that, the audience listened to a Dharma talk shared by Junior Ven. Thich Tam Thu with the theme: "The secret to sublimation happiness ". According to the content of the sermon, every day, when Buddha learners still have not yet got wisdom eyes, the true mind has not yet enlightened, not yet seen the right view, ... that day, human is still in the reincarnation.

The Buddha taught: "There is no a path to happiness, true happiness is the going way". Therefore, Buddha-Dharma learners must always live mindfully, awake in every gesture, speech, and work in being unable to harm to human or harm to animals. So, we could be happy and peaceful forever, like the shadow does not escape its shape.

After taking lunch, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Hue, some Buddhists and the relatives of souls freed creatures and poured bone-ash into water. The group visited An Hoa market in Can Tho to buy some kinds of fish releasing to the big river, after reciting the Buddha name, performing the rite of releasing them to nature. Accordingly, the delegation also chanted sutras, made the rite of water burying for 10 souls in Ninh Kieu wharves in Can Tho.

In the afternoon, the retreat recited the Buddha's name and reminded precepts. The monks gave Buddhists dharma gifts, including the books “60-year essential memory of Senior Venerable Thich Chan Tinh”, "New day of the mind", "Introductions of Hoang Phap monastery", a necklace with a little Buddha’s statue, and a string of beads for wrist.

 The day of cultivating closed in the joy of everyone. On the way back, the group bought fish for releasing them to nature.
